Lay-in Brushes
Download PDF Spec Sheet (24.1 KB)
Rosco Lay-In Brushes have been carefully designed and manufactured to meet the demands of scenic artists
everywhere. Meticulous attention to all the components – bristles, ferrules (the metal band that holds
the bristles) and handles, have produced a series of brushes that, with routine maintenance, will provide
excellent service for years.
They are available in ferrule widths of 4", 5", 6" and 7". The bristles are all made of soft, natural hog
hair to allow you to paint a clear line without marks or scratches. There is an extraordinary number of
bristles packed into each brush’s ferrule to permit a full charge of paint on each and every dip into the
paint bucket. The bristles are also somewhat longer than those found in commercial brushes to prevent paint
from penetrating the ferrules.
The ferrules are all manufactured in stainless steel to prevent rusting and are coated for extra protection.
All the handles are high quality hardwood, carefully varnished for durability. The 4", 5" and 6" wide brushes
are equipped with removable handles, so you can easily switch to the longer handles for painting on the floor.
Handles: 5.5" long
Bristles: 3.5" long
Ferrules: 4", 5", 6" or 7" x 1.5" x 1.5"
